Last night we drove to Lilongwe and spent the night. It was a crazy three hour drive with lots of close calls on the narrow highway. Our team is flying back to America today on Kenya Airways at 10AM which has a stop in Zambia which is where I'm going and only a 45 minute flight from Malawi. Unfortunately, you cannot fly to Zambia from Malawi so no one can get off the plane. Instead, I had to leave at 5:45AM and fly an hour to Zimbabwe with a 5 hour layover and then another hour to Zambia, all for what should be a 45 minute flight. I am currently waiting in the Zimbabwe Executive Club drinking soda and enjoying free internet access so the layover is not all bad as I get caught up on my email.

Africa Part II - Zimbabwe Airport
