Helicopter Ride

After seeing Victoria Falls yesterday I knew that I had to see it by helicopter. It falls into a giant canyon and the viewing area is so close that it’s hard to see the whole thing and it is so wet that you can’t take pictures. I tried to book one last night but the front desk said they had “phone problems” and couldn’t call out even though the manager was talking on the phone while I was standing there. I called first thing this morning and they said they would check. They called me back and said that all the morning flights were booked but that I could get one in the afternoon. However, I’m leaving at 1:30PM. I went to the lobby and talked to the manager and said if he could get me on a helicopter I would make it worth his trouble (50,000k – about $12 US). I can’t wait to see the view from up there.
